Terms & Conditions
Terms of participation, assumption of alpine terrain risks, environmental stewardship covenants, and expedition code of conduct under World Economic Mobility Limited.
1. Traveler Qualification & Expedition Admission
World Economic Mobility Limited (WEML) does not operate conventional mass-tourism packages. Participation in any expedition season (such as Season 01 Panchachuli Sacred Peaks or Season 02 Karakoram Frontier) is confirmed through traveler review by our Expedition Jury. WEML reserves full discretion to accept or defer any applicant based on medical telemetry, psychological resilience, and team suitability.
2. Inherent Risk Acknowledgment
High-altitude alpine environments above 4,000 meters present objective natural hazards including, but not limited to, rapid barometric pressure swings, severe hypothermia, acute mountain sickness (AMS), crevasse collapse, and sudden rockfall. By submitting a booking request, travelers acknowledge these natural realities and confirm that they participate voluntarily with full awareness of alpine challenges.
3. UIAGM Guide & Sirdar Command
For the preservation of human life, the designated UIAGM/IFMGA certified Expedition Leader and local high-altitude sirdar maintain absolute, non-negotiable operational authority in the field. This includes the sole authority to determine turnaround timings, modify routes due to weather or avalanche risks, or order immediate emergency medical descent of any participant whose arterial telemetry indicates elevated medical hazard.
4. Zero-Trace Ecological Standards & Fellowship Covenant
Every participant pledges strict adherence to WEML environmental guidelines:
-
Zero Littering: Every gram of non-biodegradable material, packaging, medical tape, and battery casing must be retained and weighed at basecamp upon return.
-
Preservation of Sacred Water: Glacial meltwater streams and sacred high lakes are strictly protected; no chemical soaps, detergents, or contaminants may enter waterways.
-
Fauna & Flora Protection: Disturbing alpine wildlife (Himalayan snow leopard, blue sheep, monal pheasant) or harvesting alpine herbs is strictly prohibited.
5. Respect for Native Shauka & Kumaoni Traditions
Expedition corridors traverse ancestral homelands of indigenous borderland communities. Travelers must conduct themselves with absolute cultural humility, respecting village elders, sacred temple grounds, and prayer stones. Unsolicited intrusive photography is strictly regulated under our Shooting Policy.
6. Zero-Surge Commitment & Governing Law
WEML operates with 100% price predictability. Once accepted into an expedition group, no seasonal surges or commercial surcharges are applied. In the event of force majeure (e.g. government border closures or extreme geological disruption), participant credits are preserved for future deployment. These terms are governed under the laws of India, with legal jurisdiction vested in the courts of Uttarakhand.
