Kedarkantha is India’s most celebrated winter summit trek. Nestled in Govind Wildlife Sanctuary, this trek rewards climbers with a conical summit offering uninterrupted 360-degree vistas of Swargarohini, Black Peak (Kalanag), and Bandarpoonch.

FIELD STAGES // 03

Itinerary

6 Days
Drive through Mussoorie, Nainbagh, and Purola along the Tons river before arriving at historic wooden village of Sankri.
Ascend through dense pine and maple forests carpeted in snow. Camp beside the legendary half-frozen lake of Juda-ka-Talab.
Gentle uphill walk reaching open alpine meadows. Breathtaking twilight view of the glowing snow summit from base tents.
Pre-dawn 3:30 AM summit push. Stand atop Kedarkantha summit for a golden sunrise over Swargarohini and Bandarpoonch.
Descend through apple orchards and pine groves back to Sankri base village. Celebratory hot dinner and certificates.
Morning return drive reaching Dehradun railway station by 7:00 PM for onward express train connections.

Basic fitness required. Able to walk 4 km with a daypack.
