Rupin Pass is an exhilarating crossover trek starting in Uttarakhand and ending in Sangla, Himachal Pradesh. The route takes you along the cascading Rupin river, climbing the legendary three-stage upper waterfall before cutting through a steep snow gully to the 15,250 ft col.

Itinerary

8 Days
Drive along Yamuna and Tons rivers to remote trailhead in Dhaula.
Walk through apple orchards and visit the unique double-storied wooden temple of Sewa.
Cross the Uttarakhand-Himachal border bridge into the quaint village of Jiskun.
Trek past the dramatic snow bridge and camp beside the crystal Rupin river.
Emerge into a huge U-shaped glacial valley with the majestic Rupin waterfall thundering ahead.
Climb beside the tiered waterfall onto the high snowy shelf.
Challenging snow gully climb to the high col; panoramic Kinnaur Kailash views and snow sliding descent.
Descent to Sangla valley in Kinnaur and onward drive to Shimla.
